Ok, Campers and Parents, it's back to business as usual with a glorious FULL week of school again! I'm SO excited!
Also, this week marks the beginning of May - which hopefully means that true typical Spring weather will soon be here for good!
THRoW: Great job everyone on your THRoW last week! Everyone did a terrific job of writing compare and contrast paragraphs! We finally get to start digging in to story writing! Be on the lookout this week for THRoW full of imagination and creativity! Students will be given a story writing prompt! Have fun with this! Encourage your child to have fun with this but try to stay within the limit of the length given. The only information given to students is to include ...
Beginning - First paragraph should introduce the characters and setting.
Middle - Second paragraph should present a problem.
End - Final paragraph should solve the problem and end the story
Math: We continue to learn about slides (translations), turns (rotations) and flips (reflections) as we explore transformational geometry! We should be able to wrap up this unit by the end of this week with our test being on Friday! I will send home the duo tangs for review Wednesday and Thursday.
That's all for now,
Counsellor Wilson
