Hello Parents and Campers!
I hope everyone had a blessed Easter Weekend filled with quality family time!
This short week...
THRoW - Students have been learning about how to write a compare and contrast paragraph. Much like a stoplight paragraph, it has a topic sentence that introduces the two things that are being compared and contrasted.
Sentence 1 - Topic Sentence
Sentence 2 and 3 - Similarities
Sentence 4 and 5 - Differences
Sentence 6 - Closing Sentence
The topic for this THRoW is to compare and contrast 2 seasons in Ontario. Try to encourage your child to come up with a really solid venn diagram with interesting similarities and differences. Stay away from obvious comparisons. I can't wait to read them this Friday!
That's all for now,
Counsellor Wilson
