Hello Parents and Campers!
MATH:
Our Number Sense and Numeration for Term 2 is made up of three distinct units; Multiplication &Division, Fractions and finally Money. I thought it best to do these in mini-units rather than one large 4 week unit. Technically, all 3 of these topics are under ONE strand. So, this week, we will be wrapping up our unit on Fractions and will have our assessment on Thursday, April 4th. I will send home the Math duo tangs for your review.
SOCIAL STUDIES- Campers continue to learn about local First Nation groups and how they used the land to live and survive.
VISUAL ARTS: Campers are learning about how to create illusionary textures in their 2D works of art. Ask them about which textures they have learned!
RELIGION: We are about to learn about the important events of the Easter Story in a very fun and interactive way using plastic eggs each filled with an important symbol of the Easter Story. There are 12 eggs in all and at the end of the unit, students will be able to orally retell this story using these symbols.
Busy week ahead and we are LOVING having Miss Holland lead the way!
